Cow Bay

Cow Bay spreads its farm sim across an actual open world rather than a fixed plot, crops and animals share space with villagers to talk to and quests to chase, so the game reads less like a management spreadsheet and more like a small rural town you're slowly settling into.

Because quests and villager relationships run alongside the farming rather than gating it, alternating between chores and exploration tends to keep progress moving on both fronts instead of grinding one system until it feels like a chore. Animals and crops each have their own care rhythms, so a farm built around a few well-tended animals usually outperforms one spread too thin across every species available early on.
