Cut the Rope turns a single piece of candy on a rope into a full physics puzzle: swinging momentum, gravity, and the order ropes are cut in all matter, and getting the candy to Om Nom's mouth is rarely as simple as cutting the nearest rope first.

Bubbles need the candy to be moving at the right speed to float rather than pop on contact, and spiders will grab the candy the instant a swing brings it too close, which means planning the full swing path across a level before cutting anything usually beats reacting rope by rope. Stars scattered along a level's path are optional but placed to force a specific, harder route, worth chasing once the basic solution is comfortable rather than on a first attempt. Angry Birds is a natural next stop for more physics-driven puzzle-solving in a similarly charming package.
