Fears to Fathom - Home Alone
How to Play Fears to Fathom - Home Alone?
Fears to Fathom – Home Alone builds its horror out of a setting almost nobody finds scary on paper, an ordinary house, alone, at night, and lets long stretches of nothing happening do more work than any single jump scare could.
Because the game paces itself around ambiguity, a noise that might just be the house settling or might not, walking through dark rooms rather than rushing tends to preserve the tension the game is actually built around, sprinting past a scripted moment can mean missing the slow buildup that made it land. Playing with headphones on changes the experience considerably, since several cues are audio-first and easy to miss on speakers. Burger & Frights runs a similarly slow-burn horror pace inside another deceptively ordinary setting.
