Foggy Fox uses its fog not just as atmosphere but as an actual gameplay constraint, visibility is genuinely limited at all times, which means puzzles are solved as much by careful, deliberate exploration as by the logic of the puzzle itself.

Because landmarks and hidden paths only reveal themselves at close range, methodically working the edges of a fogged area rather than cutting straight across tends to uncover more of a level's layout before committing to a route. Ancient ruins and mystical areas often gate progress behind an item or clue found in an earlier, easily-missed area, so backtracking through fog you've already crossed is frequently more useful than pushing further into the unknown.
