Hangman

Hangman is the classic word-guessing game, now in your browser. A secret word is hidden behind a row of blank spaces, one for each letter, and you have to work it out by guessing letters one at a time.

Click a letter on the on-screen keyboard (or type it). If the letter is in the word, it appears in every place it belongs. If not, another part of the drawing is added. Guess the whole word before the drawing is complete and you win the round; run out of wrong guesses and the game reveals the answer. Starting with common vowels like E, A and O and frequent consonants like T, R, S and N is a strong strategy, because they fill in the most blanks and make the rest of the word easier to spot.
