KARLSON

How to Play KARLSON?

Karlson treats gunfights as a momentum problem rather than an aiming one, wall-running and grappling hooks keep you constantly airborne and moving, and standing still to line up a shot is usually the fastest way to end up dead rather than the safe, careful choice it would be in a normal shooter.

Chaining a wall-run directly into a grapple rather than stopping between them preserves speed that's otherwise expensive to rebuild, and firing while still mid-momentum, even at reduced accuracy, tends to survive encounters better than planting your feet for a clean shot. Levels are built with speedrunning in mind, so learning a faster route through repeated attempts is as much a part of mastering the game as the shooting itself. Super Hot offers a different but related take on making movement itself the core shooting mechanic.
