GigaB00ts' Pizza Tower builds its whole identity around never stopping, Peppino moves fastest when charging forward without pause, and the game actively scores you higher for clearing a level at a dead sprint than for cautiously picking through it.

Because momentum carries between moves, chaining a slide directly into a dash rather than stopping to reposition tends to preserve the speed the scoring system rewards, a level cleared with constant forward motion scores dramatically higher than the same level finished slowly. Missed secrets and collectibles are worth a slower first pass to locate, since a top-rank speed run afterward goes much smoother once the level's layout is already familiar. Cuphead pairs a similarly hand-crafted, retro-inspired art style with a tighter boss-focused difficulty curve.
