Rooftop Snipers 2 keeps the original's core threat, knock your opponent off the edge rather than deal damage, but expands the toolkit with different rifles and customization, which means a shot's knockback and range now vary by loadout rather than staying identical every match.

Because each hit shoves rather than damages, staying near the center of the rooftop rather than the edge gives more room to absorb a shove without falling, while pushing an opponent toward the edge with well-timed hits matters more than raw accuracy. Matching a rifle's range to the rooftop's width, a shorter gun for tight rooftops, a longer one for wide ones, tends to outperform sticking with one favorite loadout across every map. Rooftop Snipers is the original two-button version of this same shove-off-the-edge format.
