Tag 2 attaches a literal ticking bomb to the classic game of tag, being "it" isn't just a social inconvenience anymore, holding the bomb when the timer expires ends the round for you, which turns every chase into a genuine countdown rather than an open-ended scramble.

Because portals and bouncy pads offer real shortcuts across the map, learning their placements tends to matter as much as raw speed, a runner who knows a portal shortcut can close distance a straight sprint never would. Passing the bomb off to another player the instant you're tagged rather than trying to outlast the timer yourself is almost always the safer play in a group. TAG covers a more traditional hunter-versus-hunted format without the bomb-passing pressure.
