The Battleground
How to Play The Battleground ?
The Battleground wastes no time on long lobbies. You press a button on the main menu, a helicopter carries you over the map, a yellow prompt says Click to Jump, and a few seconds later you are drifting down under a parachute, picking a rooftop while other players do the same around you. From that moment it is a straight fight: grab what you can, keep your health bar out of the red and be the one still standing when the timer runs out or the last rival drops.
It is a third-person shooter, so the camera sits behind your soldier's shoulder. That viewpoint matters more than it sounds. You can peek around a wall without exposing your whole body, check a corner before you walk into it, and judge jumps between broken floors much more easily than in a first-person game. The people you meet are real opponents connected from around the world - the kill feed on the right edge of the screen lists their names and country flags every time someone goes down.
Battle Royale or Deathmatch: Pick Your Pace
Two big buttons sit in the bottom-left corner of the menu, and they suit very different moods.
- Battle Royale - one life, one winner. Land, scavenge, rotate across the map and play the long game. Hiding in a good building and letting others thin each other out is a perfectly valid plan.
- Deathmatch - an endless online brawl where getting knocked out only sends you back into the action. It is the best place to practise recoil, try a new gun or just blow off steam for five minutes.
The in-match HUD keeps everything you need in view: a minimap in the top-left (press M to open the full map), an Alive counter, your kill count, a round clock, your HP out of 100 and the ammo in your magazine against your reserve.
Maps That Keep Changing
The battlefield is not fixed. The game pulls its current map from its own servers, so the arena rotates over time. During our sessions we dropped into two completely different places: a cold, snow-dusted district of red-brick ruins, rusty water towers and half-collapsed walkways, and a bright Mediterranean island ringed by blue sea, with white villas, rocky hills and olive trees. The snowy streets reward close-range weapons and careful corner checks; the island's open slopes are where scoped rifles shine. Because the map can change between visits, it is worth landing somewhere new each time instead of memorising a single route.
The Armory and Its Skin Trees
The Armory is where The Battleground hooks long-term players. Nine weapon families line the left side of the screen:
- Assault rifles: M4, AK47 and Tavor - reliable all-rounders for most fights.
- SMGs: Kriss Vector and MP5 - fast fire for the cramped buildings of the snow map.
- Shotgun: UTAS, a door-breaching monster at short range.
- Marksman and sniper: Lynx and MK 13 for picking people off across open ground.
- Multiple Grenade Launcher for when subtlety is not the plan.
Each gun has its own branching tree of camouflages that unlock with XP earned by using that weapon. The AK47 tree is a good example: the AK Molotok opens at 1,000 XP, the icy AK Siberian at 4,000 and the AK Zima at 5,000, then the branches split into Kalash, AK Ushanka, AK Krasny, AK Steppe and the shiny AK Borealis, all the way up to AK Northern Light, AK Severny and AK Blood Diamond at 40,000 XP. The more you stick with a weapon, the flashier it gets - a nice reason to master one gun instead of swapping every match.
Career, Lootboxes and Pets
Outside the Armory, the Career screen tracks your rank, while Lootboxes and the side buttons for helmets, ranks, hats and pets let you dress up your soldier. Time-limited events show up as banners on the menu - a Happy Hour countdown, a themed gear box and a "find your Battle Kitty" pet hunt appeared while we played. You start as a Guest with zero currency, so everything is earned by actually playing.

Tips for Your First Drops
- Land on the edge, not the centre. Everyone aims for the middle of the map. A quieter landing gives you time to find a better weapon before the first fight.
- Crouch before you shoot. Holding Ctrl tightens your spread and makes you a smaller target behind low walls.
- Aim with right click at range. Hip fire is fine inside a building, but across a street you will waste half your magazine without aiming.
- Watch the reserve ammo. 30 rounds disappear fast; reload behind cover, not in the open.
- Use Deathmatch as a shooting range. Leveling a weapon's XP there is the quickest way to start unlocking its skin tree.
Is The Battleground Unblocked Here Online?
Yes - you can play The Battleground unblocked on this page in a desktop browser. Because it is a genuine multiplayer shooter, it needs an internet connection to find a match and to load the current map; if the menu or a match does not appear, refresh the page. If tactical online shooters are your thing, also try Bullet Force, Combat Online or the egg-shaped chaos of Shell Shockers. Prefer building while you fight? BuildNow GG is waiting, and Zombs Royale gives you a top-down take on the battle royale formula.
