Tic Tac Toe

Tic Tac Toe is the classic paper-and-pencil game on a 3x3 board. One side plays X and the other plays O, and players take turns placing a mark in an empty square. The first to line up three of their marks in a row - horizontally, vertically or diagonally - wins the round. If all nine squares fill up with no line of three, the game ends in a draw.

This version is the "impossible" kind: the computer opponent plays perfectly, so it never misses a chance to win and always blocks your open lines. That changes the goal - against a perfect player, forcing a draw is already a good result, and any mistake you make gets punished straight away. Click or tap a square to place your mark. Starting in the centre or a corner gives you the most options, and the classic trap to watch for is the fork, where one move creates two different winning threats at once.
