Tomb of the Mask

How to Play Tomb of the Mask ?

Tomb of the Mask moves its character continuously in whatever direction you press until it hits a wall, rather than one tile at a time, which turns the procedurally generated maze into a puzzle about reading full corridors ahead rather than reacting turn by turn.

Because a single directional input can send you sliding through several tiles at once, planning a route two or three turns ahead before pressing anything tends to avoid the common mistake of sliding straight into a trap you saw but didn't account for in the momentum. Power-ups picked up mid-slide are usually worth adjusting a route for, since the abilities they grant often make an otherwise unreachable section of the maze passable. Gobdun covers similarly unforgiving dungeon exploration with a slower, more traditional movement pace.
