4 in a Row

4 in a Row is the classic connect-four board game. Two players take turns dropping coloured discs into a vertical grid of seven columns and six rows. Each disc falls to the lowest free space in the column you choose, and the first player to line up four of their own discs - horizontally, vertically or diagonally - wins.

Click a column to drop your disc. You can play against the computer or pass the device to a friend for a local two-player match. The key to winning is thinking ahead: every disc you drop also changes what your opponent can do next, so always check whether your move gives them a free spot to complete a line. The centre column is the most valuable, because it is part of the most possible lines, and the strongest attacks set up two threats at once so your opponent can only block one of them.
