Base Defense 2

How to Play Base Defense 2 ?

Base Defense 2 puts you in charge of a lone fortress on a desert road while balloons, airships and mechanical spiders march in from the right. You do not fire a single shot yourself - you decide which weapon goes on which platform, when to upgrade it and when to spend on repairs.

What Is Base Defense 2?

Base Defense 2 is a lane-style tower defense game from Beedo Games and the sequel to the original Base Defense. Your tower sits on the left edge of the screen with a handful of empty mounting points around it, and every mission is a set number of enemy waves that you have to survive with the total defense bar still green.

Two resources run the whole thing. Metal is earned from destroyed enemies and pays for deploying and upgrading weapons during a mission; coins are the longer-term currency you carry between missions to unlock stronger equipment and better bases. The campaign is a chain of missions, each one unlocking the next.

How to Play Base Defense 2

Controls

  • Click / tap an empty platform - open the weapon picker and deploy a unit
  • Click a deployed weapon - upgrade it, repair it or boost it
  • Speed Up - fast-forward a wave once your defences are set
  • Pause - stop the action to plan your next purchase

The first mission walks you through it: deploy a Gunner on the lowest platform, then upgrade it once. After that the platforms are yours to fill. Every weapon shoots on its own, so the game is won in the decisions between waves rather than in reflexes.

Weapons and Upgrades

  • Gunners are the cheap, reliable starting option and stay useful for a long time once levelled up.
  • Elemental turrets - electric, freezing, poison and toxic - trade raw damage for effects that slow or wear down whole groups.
  • Strikers and punchers hit hard at close range and are there for the heavy units that reach your walls.
  • Every unit levels up. Each upgrade shows exactly how much damage and health it adds, so you can compare it against deploying something new.

Tips for Holding the Line

  • Upgrade before you spread out. One strong gun on a good platform beats three weak ones in the early missions.
  • Mix damage types. A freeze turret in front of your gunners gives them far more time to shoot.
  • Watch the repair button. A damaged unit that goes down costs more to replace than it would have cost to fix.
  • Save the boost for boss waves. It is a short burst, and it matters most when something big is about to reach the tower.
  • Use Speed Up only on easy waves. Fast-forwarding through a dangerous wave leaves no time to react.

Base Defense 2 FAQ

Is Base Defense 2 free to play?

Yes. It runs free in your browser on this page - nothing to buy, download or sign up for.

Can I play Base Defense 2 at school or on a Chromebook?

Base Defense 2 unblocked is hosted here rather than on a separate games portal, so it usually loads on school and work networks and plays well on a Chromebook. Check your own school or company rules first.

What is the difference between metal and coins?

Metal is spent inside a mission to deploy and upgrade weapons. Coins carry over between missions and unlock new equipment and bases.

Do weapons shoot automatically?

Yes. Once a unit is deployed it targets enemies on its own; you only choose placement, upgrades and repairs.

Does my progress save?

Yes. Unlocked missions and coins are saved in this browser, so you can continue the campaign later.
