Boom Slingers ReBoom gives each hero a distinct bomb type rather than one shared explosive, so picking a character is really picking a playstyle: some heroes lob slow, high-damage bombs meant for zoning an area, others throw fast, low-damage ones meant for chip damage and forcing an opponent to keep moving.

Arena layouts favor whoever controls the center chokepoints, since most bomb arcs can't reach around solid cover from the edges, staying mobile and repositioning after every throw beats holding one corner and slinging bombs from the same angle repeatedly. Against a hero with a wide-radius bomb, closing distance quickly is usually safer than staying at range, their bombs cover more ground the farther back you stand relative to the blast.
