Brotato

Brotato is a fast-paced top-down roguelite survival game that drops players into the shoes of a heavily armed potato stranded on a hostile alien planet. Each run is split into short, timed waves in which the character automatically fires up to six equipped weapons at swarming enemies while the player focuses entirely on movement and positioning to avoid getting surrounded. Between waves, a shop screen opens up, letting players spend scavenged materials on new weapons, stat-boosting items, and character-defining builds, encouraging experimentation with dozens of unlockable classes that each play very differently. The genius of the design is how quickly a run can be completed, often in fifteen to twenty minutes, which makes it easy to immediately jump into another attempt with a totally different strategy after a defeat. Enemy density and aggression scale relentlessly with every wave, so smart itemization and kiting enemies around the arena become just as important as raw firepower.
