Flip Bros

Flip Bros builds its whole platforming feel around rotation rather than a normal jump arc, your character flips end over end through the air, and landing upright rather than mid-spin is what actually determines whether a jump counts as clean or as a stumble into the next obstacle.

Timing a jump's release to land at the end of a full rotation rather than mid-flip tends to carry more control into the next move, which matters once levels start chaining several flips back to back across narrow platforms. The game later added a gun in its sequel, Bullet Bros, where firing doubles as a recoil-powered jump boost on top of the same flipping foundation.
