Jetpack Joyride

Jetpack Joyride set the template that most jetpack endless runners since have borrowed from: hold to thrust upward, release to fall, and weave Barry Steakfries between zappers, lasers, and missiles that all demand a different altitude to dodge safely.

Vehicle pickups like the Profit Bird or Crazy Freaking Teleporter briefly override the normal jetpack controls entirely, so recognizing which vehicle just spawned in and adjusting your input immediately matters more than reacting to obstacles the same way you would on foot. Coins collected mid-run are worth detouring for only when the path is already safe, since dying mid-detour costs more progress than the coins are worth. Jetpack Adventure runs a similar jetpack-dodging format if you want more of the same core loop.
