Red Ball 4

How to Play Red Ball 4 ?

Red Ball 4 commits to its ball-shaped hero's actual physics rather than treating it like a normal platformer character in a round skin, momentum carries through rolls and bounces, so a jump timed off a downhill roll clears gaps a standing jump from the same spot simply can't.

Because the ball keeps rolling rather than stopping cleanly, braking early before a ledge tends to prevent overshooting into a hazard that a flat platformer character could stand safely beside. Chaining momentum across a level's slopes rather than resetting speed at every obstacle usually clears the vibrant, trap-filled stages faster and with fewer near-misses against the black square enemies scattered through them. Bloxorz tests a similar sense of momentum and orientation with a rolling block instead of a ball.
