Space Waves

Space Waves is a one-button reflex game built around a single idea taken to its breaking point: your ship is always moving forward through a narrow neon corridor, and holding the mouse or spacebar curves it one way while releasing curves it the other. That is the whole control scheme. Everything else — the timing, the rhythm, the nerve — is on you as the tunnel twists into tighter turns, splits into forked paths, and throws moving gates and spinning bars across the only gap wide enough to fit through.

Each run is scored by distance and the track speeds up the longer you last, so a good run always ends with a mistake made a fraction of a second too late. The clean synthwave visuals and pulsing soundtrack make it easy to fall into a "one more try" loop. If you like the pure precision of games like Vex 8 or OvO, this strips that feeling down to its core.
