Undertale Yellow

Undertale Yellow keeps the original's core promise intact, every fight can be talked down, spared, or defused rather than won purely by force, but tells its own prequel story through Clover, which gives familiar Undertale mechanics new emotional weight in an unfamiliar timeline.

Because ACT options usually calm an enemy down gradually across several turns rather than instantly, committing to a non-violent approach once started tends to pay off more than switching to attacks partway through, a half-committed pacifist run often ends up harder than either extreme. Reading each enemy's specific dialogue cues matters as much as the mechanical options available, since the "correct" approach differs meaningfully between encounters. Deltarune continues the same universe's story and combat style from a different creator's perspective.
