Escape Road 3

How to Play Escape Road 3 ?

Escape Road 3 still starts with a bank job and a police car in your mirror, but it no longer stays that way. Twenty minutes in you might be putting out fires across the city, racing an F1 circuit, or shooting down an alien tower - and the sirens never stop while you do it.

What Is Escape Road 3?

Escape Road 3 is the newest entry in AZ Games' getaway series, released in April 2026. The core is unchanged: a top-down city, a car that accelerates by itself, and a police force that escalates until it stops you. What has changed is everything built around that loop.

The map now runs well past the city into desert, farmland and suburbs before opening onto the sea, the camera sits closer than in any previous game, and a "See Through Objects" setting finally lets you see what is coming around the far side of a building. It is also the heaviest game in the series, so drop the graphics to low or medium in Settings if it stutters.

How to Play Escape Road 3

Controls

  • A / D or left / right arrow - steer; there is no accelerator, the car drives itself
  • S or down arrow - brake and reverse, and the brakes are far better than in earlier games
  • Space - get out of the vehicle, and press it again beside another to take it
  • F - use the support item you are holding
  • Right-click or G - aim, left-click - shoot
  • Tab - switch between the car and character tabs in the garage

You start with three free cars rather than one, and $500 in the bank - enough for a slot machine spin before your first run. The machine now has two columns: one picks the rarity, the other decides whether you get a vehicle or a character.

What Escape Road 3 Added

  • Characters. 31 of them, each with different stats, sitting in their own garage tab. They only come out of the slot machine and they drop far more rarely than cars.
  • Mythic cars. A tier above Legendary with three entries - F1 ULTIMATE, XT3000 and the Zombie Smasher - inside a roster of 93 vehicles.
  • Achievements. 84 goals, and the ones marked with a star pay out an exclusive vehicle or item on top of the cash.
  • Mini-games. Found out on the map rather than in a menu: an F1 race, a fire rescue, a zombie outbreak, ocean treasure hunts and an alien invasion with towers to bring down.
  • Support items. Helicopters drop crates with an arrow pointing to them, you can hold two at once, and F fires them. The Gravity Gun stops and explodes everything chasing you, armoured or not.
  • Daily bonuses. Logging in cycles through $100, $250 and $500 payouts across a week, and $500 is exactly one spin.

Who Is Chasing You

  • Police cars - more aggressive than in any previous entry, and officers on foot now have health bars, so running one over once may not be enough.
  • Tanks and armoured military vehicles - they roll through intersections once your wanted level climbs, and some of them cannot be stolen at all.
  • Drones and planes - drones drop bombs from directly overhead while planes fire on you from the sky.
  • Tornadoes - not police at all, and they will end a run on the spot if they catch you on foot.
  • Collapsed bridges - the map changes under you, and a bridge that was there last run may be under construction this one.

Tips to Survive Longer

  • Chase starred achievements first. They pay an exclusive item plus a big cash bonus, which is far faster than grinding street pickups for spins.
  • Brake before you need to. Dead ends and missing bridges appear with no warning, and this is the first game in the series where braking early actually saves you.
  • Leave the city. Desert and farmland give you room the packed streets never will, and pursuers follow you into open ground where they are easier to shake.
  • Steer chasers into the water. They commit to your line, so a late turn at the shore takes several of them with it.
  • Get back on land after a swim. Your health refills once you are out of the water, which is a change from the earlier games - so water is a genuine escape route now, not a slow death.
  • Watch the cooldowns. Support items sit in the top-left with timers on the right; the Gravity Gun is worth saving for the moment the army arrives rather than firing on the first patrol car.

Escape Road 3 FAQ

Is Escape Road 3 free to play?

Yes. It runs free in your browser on this page - nothing to buy, download or sign up for.

Can I play Escape Road 3 at school or on a Chromebook?

Escape Road 3 unblocked is hosted here rather than on a separate games portal, so it usually loads on school and work networks and runs in Chrome on a Chromebook. It is the heaviest game in the series, so set the graphics to low if an older school machine struggles. Check your own school or company rules first.

How many cars and characters are there?

93 vehicles across five rarity tiers from Common up to the new Mythic, and 31 characters. Both come out of the same slot machine, but characters drop far less often.

What are Mythic cars?

A tier above Legendary, added in this game. There are three - F1 ULTIMATE, XT3000 and the Zombie Smasher - and they are the strongest rides in the game, whatever they look like.

What is different from Escape Road City 2?

City 2 gave you water, boats, hijacking and power-ups. Escape Road 3 keeps all of that and adds collectable characters, the Mythic tier, 84 achievements, map-wide mini-games, and environments that run well past the city into desert and farmland.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes - tap the left or right side of the screen to steer. Older phones may need the graphics dropped to low in Settings, since this entry is far more demanding than the earlier ones.
